To start, you need to gather your supplies. These are some of the items you definitely want to include, all of which I always had on hand when I was coordinating:
Needle and white thread
Chalk (can be used to cover scuffs on white shoes, or to cover small marks on a white dress)
Kleenex
Tampons
Bobby pins
Hair ties
Lint roller
Brush and comb
Safety pins
Duct tape
Scotch tape
Double stick tape
Double stick tape
Q-tips
Advil
Eye drops
Deodorant
Hairspray
Razor
Bandaids
Floss
Mouthwash and/or gum/mints
Clear nail polish
Super glue
Tide stick
Static guard
Lotion
Granola bar
Bottle of water
Straws (easier to drink out of once lipstick has been applied)
Tums/Pepto Bismol
Scissors
Lip gloss/chapstick
For most of these items, I could tell you an awesome story of how it saved the day (like the time I had to use the needle and thread to stitch up a groomsman's pants that split up the middle--five minutes before walking down the aisle). Chances are, you won't use most of these items, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. Plus, you can make your emergency kit cute if you are so inclined!
Creating the kit and assigning someone responsible to be in charge of it on the big day will definitely help you be a little more stress free on the day of your wedding. Tomorrow we will go into more details on how to have a completely relaxing wedding day experience, so make sure you come back then!
